Sleeping Puppy
 Break
Pressures from your job, family and never-ending to-do lists can make it tough to get a full night’s sleep. But how do you get those extra ZZZZs when your mind is swirling with all you have to do the next day?  We can help.

  1. Turn off electronics at least an hour before bed.
It can be a tempting to send out one last email or spend hours on Facebook until you fall asleep, but studies have shown the backlight from electronics makes it more difficult to enter a deep, restful sleep.  Experiment with turning the TV off and putting the phone away to let your mind relax and prepare for a good night’s sleep.

  1. Keep a notebook or journal on your bedside table.
It happens without fail, you’re in your pajamas, ready to finally fall asleep and all the sudden you remember the task that you’ve got to get done the next day.  Instead of jumping out of bed or staying awake worried that you might forget this important task, jot it down quickly in your bedside notebook.  This notebook is also a great place to deposit any worrisome thoughts or concerns so you can sleep like a baby.

  1. Get a massage.
Massages are a wonderful way to release the stress and anxiety that could keep you up at night.  Quality massages provide muscle release and help you to feel grounded and ready for whatever comes next, including sleep time.
Any technique you choose, New York Wellness +Medispa is happy to support your goals for health, wellness and a good night sleep.
